What Is Human Design?
Let’s take a step back and make sure we are both on the same page here!
Human Design is a system of self-discovery and personal development that combines ancient and modern sciences, including astrology, the Kabbalah, and the Chinese I Ching.
^^^Basically, all the woo woo magic stuff! But stay with me…
It is based on the concept that each person is unique and has a specific, individual design or blueprint that is revealed through their birth chart, also known as the Human Design Chart or a BodyGraph.
What's A HD Chart / BodyGraph
This is an example of my Human Design Chart / BodyGraph…. If you know how to read this… then you now literally know everything about me!
If you haven’t seen these before… it’s going to look very confusing.
It’s basically a visual representation of your unique design and consists of nine Centers (the triangles and squares).
Which are associated with different aspects of a person’s physical, mental, and emotional makeup. The Centers are connected by Gates and Lines, which provide additional information about a person’s characteristics and tendencies depending on how coloured in, which colour and where they link/don’t link.
It can get very complicated and you can analyze every single aspect of this… or we can break it down to the basics.

HD Chart / Body Graph Basics
Rather than saying “Human Design” over and over again, it’s more commonly simply referred to as HD. So from now on, that’s what I will call it!
^^^Your now officially in the HD club too if you call it HD!
As you saw, the image form of your graph is overwhelming. Every colour, every symbol, every number, even the direction of the arrows all means something.
BUT! Fortunately for us, when you get your chart… you also get a text version which breaks down the basics.
Start with this… then as you begin to both believe and are ready to understand more, you can either book a reading with someone or do what I spent many many months doing and google the sh** out of everything and pestering other people in the HD community.

I Didn't Believe In This Hocus Pocus Woo Woo!
Before we move on, I really don’t want to lose you with all the woo woo! You may already be a believer… in which case skip this section and move on. I just want to tell you a little story!
Once upon a time…..
Only kidding! Let’s take step back to about 3 or 4 years ago now, my best friend actually tried to introduce me to HD and wouldn’t stop talking about it.
Me being a 3/5 (unknowingly at the time), dismissed it as of course… “I know everything” and so chose not to really listen and dismiss it as some crazy woo woo stuff that you would find being flogged by the same people selling any of the crazy MLM stuff that’s sold as “life-changing” and “work around your lifestyle”… you know the BS!
Anyway… She kept going on about it, over and over again and slowly… I began to listen and do a bit of research.
That turned into a lot of research… and all of a sudden my life was consumed by Human Design, Chakras, Crystals, Manifestation, Intention Setting…. you name the woo woo and I was looking into it. It even took me back to History and looking at the Egyptians, Architecture and Tartaria.
Yep! I had got completely side-tracked but again… that’s also hidden in my HD where I want to know and understand everything.
Until it came to crunch time… Over a few glasses of rose wine (my preferred drink of choice if you ever need to buy me a gift btw… the really fruity ones), I finally asked her to PROVE IT WAS REAL!
So she looked at my chart, and all of a sudden told me ALL of my sexual preferences!
I was shocked!
…how on earth from a stupid drawing could she work that out?
It was like those moments when hypnotists ask someone if they think they can be hypnotised, they, of course, say no and then 2 seconds later they are fast asleep and the next minute they are dancing around like a chicken.
It finally clicked!
There was no way she could have known any of that information unless Human Design was real!
(….and now if you know how to read a HD chart, then you also know that too 🫣🤣)
And that’s the moment I believed and got hooked!
For you… you may not know someone who can read your chart, but you can either book a reading (their are 100’s of people out their who do it) or… just sit their and google each part of the text bit and see what it says.
Hopefully, it won’t take you about a year to finally get your “I Believe Moment”, but if it does take that long… then that’s still better than never!

With Human Design, you can learn more about yourself and how you naturally make decisions and take action.
This can help you avoid burnout and frustration, and can also help you make decisions that are authentic and aligned with who you are.
It will also help you attract people and opportunities that are a good fit for you, leading to more fulfilment and success in your personal and professional life.

Human Design Types
Let’s get back to the facts and actual useful information for you now!
There are five main Types in Human Design:
Manifestor
Generator
Manifesting Generator
Projector (my type)
Reflector
Each Type has its own unique set of characteristics and tendencies, and understanding one’s Type can provide insight into how they are most likely to behave and respond in different situations.
*(If you have children, a partner or even staff… this can also help you work better with them by understand who they are as a person too. You can also use it for dating too… no more wasting time on people who are never going to be compatible 😆!)
Each type, also has a different strategy and authority, and understanding and utilizing these can help improve decision-making and problem-solving in both everyday life and business too.
You can get this info from the top of the text side of your HD chart.
Aligning Your Business With Your HD
In Human Design, strategy and authority are two key concepts that can guide your actions and choices in your business.
Your strategy is the way in which you naturally make decisions and take action, based on your unique design.
Your authority is the decision-making process that is most effective for you, and it is determined by your birth chart.
For example…
Manifesting Generator – your strategy is to respond to opportunities and invitations, and your authority is the gut feeling. Listen to that inner feeling and voice.. It’s probably right!
Projector – your strategy is to wait for invitations and then consider whether or not to take action, and your authority is the inner voice or the “knowing.”
This is what my type is, but it doesn’t mean to wait forever… make your own opportunities and create that space for invitations.
Generator – your strategy is to try things out and experiment, and your authority is the physical response or the “sensation.”
Manifestor – your strategy is to initiate action and make things happen, and your authority is the inner clarity or the “command.”
Reflector – your strategy is to observe and wait before making decisions, and your authority is the consensus of those around you or the “reflection.” Who you surround yourself with is either empowering or weakening to you!

If you align your business with your HD, it will allow you to make decisions and take action in a way that is natural and authentic to you.
This can help you avoid burnout and stay energized and motivated.
Secondly, it can help you attract clients and customers who are a good fit for your business, because you are offering a service or product that is in alignment with who you are.
Finally, aligning your business with your Human Design can help you create a successful and fulfilling business that truly reflects your unique gifts and talents.
Great Proof Example…
Have a look at your favourite Celebrities or successful business person and their HD (google them and their HD chart) and then compare it with how they act, live and what they do… 99% of the time it aligns perfectly!
They are living in perfect harmony with their HD and as such, have achieved success too!
Your Type VS Your Business
In Human Design, strategy and authority are two key concepts that can guide your actions and choices in your business.

For example…

Generator with an undefined aura – your strategy is to try things out and experiment, and your authority is the physical response or the “sensation.”
A Generator with a defined aura has a similar strategy to a Manifesting Generator, in that they respond to opportunities and invitations. However, their authority is slightly different. Instead of relying on gut feelings, a Generator with a defined aura uses their defined channels and centers in their birth chart to make decisions. This can involve relying on the mind (head center), emotions (emotional center), or self-expression (throat center), depending on the specific design of the individual.
Manifestor – your strategy is to initiate action and make things happen, and your authority is the inner clarity or the “command.”
Reflector – your strategy is to observe and wait before making decisions, and your authority is the consensus of those around you or the “reflection.” Who you surround yourself with is either empowering or weakening to you!

Your Next Steps...
So by now, you should have a overview understanding of what Human Design is.
As I said before, it really depends on where your at on your journey of discovery, to what you do with this information.
Your first step is of course…. if you haven’t already is to get your Human Design Chart / BodyGraph.
Not all of them are accurate though, but I can recommend this one…
This one gives you a really pretty report which gives you a load more information about your chart AND the HD chart / Body Graph for free too!
You can upgrade and get the advanced versions of your report which go into more detail on all of the other symbols too.
Saves you a tonne of time googling everything 😆 and will guarantee the information is actually correct (Unfortunately, too much miss information online with people’s personal opinions mixed in)!
Struggling With The Info For Your Chart? I got you!
If you don’t know your time of birth (I had to dig that information out) then you will unfortunately have to generate a different chart for each 2 hour time slot. Start with 12:01am, 2:01am, 4:01am etc….. Take a look at each one at their generic overview and see which one fits you best.
Place of birth, this is just to get your timezone… so if you can’t find the exact town/city then just choose the next nearest bigger city/town.
Hopefully reading even the basics of your chart gives you the “ah ha” moment and starts your journey of self-discovery….

What’s the hardest part you have found to understand/embody?

DEFINITELY waiting for the invitation. I’m getting recognized sooner but playing for more invitations. OF COURSE, keep doing what you are doing! I’m somewhat new to HD. I’d love to hear more about how your chart showed the ppl you are attracted to, I did not know that was even a thing!
